Developing the Congress Program
The IAHR seeks to promote the activities of all scholars,
member and affiliate associations and societies who contribute to the
historical, social, and comparative study of religion. As such, the IAHR
is the preeminent international forum for the critical, analytical and
cross-cultural study of religion, past and present. The IAHR is not a
forum for confessional, apologetical, or other similar concerns.
The Quinquennial World Congresses of the IAHR aim to further the international academic study of religions. To ensure a high quality of the Congress program, the Academic Program Committee will evaluate all submissions as to their contribution to the academic value of the study of religions. The Academic Program Committee is constituted by distinguished scholars outstanding in their various fields, aiming, as near as possible, at regional and gender balance.
The Congress Program is now available. It includes keynote lectures, organized panels, individual paper sessions and open sessions. All presenters must have registered until May 15, 2015 to be included in the Congress program. Accepted papers whose authors did not register before this date are not included in the final program.
